To our wonderful #MyBodyMyTerms supporters

We’re writing to address a recent controversy that has caused us a great deal of sadness. We’ve been very sorry to see the #MyBodyMyTerms hashtag and imagery used recently as part of a discussion about one member of the #MyBodyMyTerms cast concerning a matter unrelated to the #MyBodyMyTerms campaign of late 2015.

#MyBodyMyTerms is bigger than any individual, and is an earnest and passionate attempt to create conversation around consent, revenge porn, sexual violence and victim-blaming. We’re busily working behind the scenes to continue this conversation, and we hope that we’ll be able to share our next steps with you all soon.

As an attempt on our part to foster a face-to-face meeting with the involved parties to try to create meaningful dialogue and find a positive way forward has been fruitless, we are hopeful that time will eventually heal any residual hurt and allow us all to reflect and learn from this event so that we can together continue this vital conversation around sexual violence at a later date.

With love,

Lizzie Marvelly and Jo Raj (MBMT co-creators)

Hi MBMT team. I'm watching the playing out of recent events with a great deal of concern. Given Richie Hardcore's use of the c word against his critics, the great majority of whom are women, I feel it is time the campaign publicly distance themselves from him. Sincerely, @plinythemidlkid
