On August the 19th, 2015, a group of New Zealanders congregated at South Pacific Pictures’ Henderson studios to create a campaign called #MyBodyMyTerms.
The day started early and finished late, with a constant stream of cast members coming and going throughout the day. We laughed, we got naked, we cried, often simultaneously. It was an incredible day.
Every single person who was involved in the making of #MyBodyMyTerms gave their time and talents for free. It was an example of true people power, with many otherwise unconnected people coming together to tackle the controversial issues of consent, sexual violence, revenge porn and victim-blaming.
It showed that when we come together, we can achieve amazing things. The #MyBodyMyTerms video has had over 300,000 views and continues to inspire vital conversations.
Check out the behind-the-scenes video above.
